Matt hails from Columbus Ohio, and has been acting in New York for the better part of six years.  He has had the honor to work with The Judith Shakespeare Co, The Honest Liars, and The McCarter Theater.  For three years he has also worked with Equalogy Inc, a theater-for-social-change company dedicated to eradicating gender inequality.  In his life outside of acting Matt loves running, tennis, yoga, and hipsters.

E.J. An was born in South Korea and grew up in Anchorage, Alaska.  She is an actor and a graduate of Barnard College.  Her last film, The Choi Family has been selected for screening at various festivals in the tri-state area, and she is also penning her first short screenplay, which is proving to be a long process of rewrites.  She is actively trying to be more social nowadays, by that she means, Facebook and Twitter.  She admits she had to google, "What is a twitter tag?" to understand what exactly that was, but she figures better late than never.

A New Yorker since 2009, Amanda Renee Baker is an Associate Artist with Hudson Warehouse, where some of her favorite roles have included Masha in The Seagull, Lady Anne in Richard III, and Katherine in The Taming of the Shrew. New York credits include Twelfth Night with Co-op Theatre East, as well as readings with Misfit Toys Rep and at ESPA Primary Stages. She has worked regionally in Indiana and Atlanta, GA, and has trained with the Moscow Art Theatre School and at Indiana University.

Amber has been working in film and theatre in NYC for the past seven years. Virginia Bosch is thrilled to be reading for the first time with Liars' League NYC.  She learned about the company while recently performing in Hudson Warehouse Shakespeare Company's The Rover.  She has been acting since childhood and studied with the London Dramatic Academy and Drew University.  Favorite roles include Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Amanda Gronich in The Laramie Project, and Anne in The Diary of Anne Frank.  She is also a teaching artist and a writer.  Thank you to Elizabeth and Andrew for this wonderful opportunity.

Ari Brand is an actor, musician, writer and teacher, born and raised right here in the East Village. He has appeared on numerous stages in the city and across the country. His credits include the title role in “My Name Is Asher Lev” off-Broadway, a role he performed 363 times to critical acclaim. He can be seen on TV in USA’s “White Collar,” “FBI” on CBS, and the upcoming “The Other Two” on Comedy Central. He is a 2018-2019 LABA Fellow, and is developing his first full-length play about childhood in the epicenter of the AIDS crisis.

Waltrudis has just finished playing the part of Vera in Vermont Stage Company’s 4000 Miles by Amy Herzog, before which she appeared in Driving Miss Daisy at Playhouse On Park in Hartford, Ct. Other favorite productions include Uncle Vanya (Long Wharf) Painting Churches (Barnstormers) Woyzeck (Naked Angels). On screen she's been Julia Roberts' psychiatrist in Everyone Says I Love You, Frank Langella's secretary in Wall Street II, the dress designer for the evil daughter in Mildred Pierce, an old Gretchen Moll in Life On Mars, a kidnap victim on Law & Order SVU, and a University Dean in Woody Allen's Deconstructing Harry. Soon she can be seen as Rina Herzman in Larry Brand's The Girl On the Train.

Kristen hails from Arlington, VA and grew up dancing.  When she turned 18, she realized it was time to get off the pole and start acting.  Since then she has appeared in plays and musicals across the country, and has received excellent reviews from critics like...her parents.  She is especially proud of her work in Arizona, where she successfully formed a cult during the filming of Kumare: A True Story of a False Prophet (in theaters now). Kumare won the Audience Award at SxSW and Kristen received excellent reviews from critics like...The New York Times, and her parents.

Lauren Clark is a New York City based actress, writer, stand-up comedian and improviser. She holds a B.A. in Creative Writing from DePauw University. Since graduating in 2011 she has become a much wiser writer/human via training from the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre NY where she is currently a veteran in the Advanced Study Improv Program. She has also completed the core curriculum sketch writing program at UCB, has been part of the cast and crew for various web series, shorts, indie films, and podcasts and has unintentionally started food fights twice in her life.

Leigh Ann Cobb is as an actor whose work includes new, original plays and interactive theatre for teaching diversity and sensitivity communication skills in the workplace. Kira Davies is a collaborative storyteller based in NYC. She wears numerous hats and reading to you tonight is an absolute dream. The work she does spans from feature films, experimental theater, to dance, and more. Recently, she collaborated with the Artist Adrianne Wortzel, through ThoughtWorks Arts, on a short film where her co-stars were two robots. Kira had the opportunity to develop a movement language that explores our relationship to nonsentient beings and the question of what dangers lie inside these relationships.

Ryan is originally from Milwaukee, WI, and just celebrated his nine year anniversary in New York City this autumn. An actor and director, he studied at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, and is currently writing his first one-act play. Some of his favorite roles include Hotspur in Henry IV pt 1, Caliban in The Tempest and Mark Antony in Julius Caesar. Ryan is a huge sports fan, and the general manager of numerous losing fantasy football teams.

Canadian bred and New York trained, Jennifer Farrugia acts, models and writes.  She has starred in a variety of feature length films, including Best Feature and Audience Choice at the Royal Flush Film Festival in Brooklyn,Prayer to a Vengeful God.  As a model she works with New York Styling duo, Garmnt Boys, and photographers Nico Malvaldi and Romain Laurent.  Her writing appears in Thought Catalogue and she is currently launching, Hopefully Dope Films, with her directorial debut- an ethereal short film, “Forget-me-knot.”

He's partway through writing his first full-length play, in which all the characters are Tarot cards ripping their way into the membrane of the real world. Samantha enjoys good puzzles and watching funny kitten videos. She also enjoys acting and performing improv comedy in small, dark rooms around New York City, such as the UCB Theater, Magnet Theater and the Creek and the Cave. She wrote, produced and starred in her first show You Can Call Me Gen in 2009, and has been writing shameless vehicles for herself ever since. Samantha also does make-up, costume design, film production, and generally loves doing anything to help tell a good story. David Harrell is an actor, speaker, writer and disability advocate residing in New York City. As an actor he has performed with theatres in New York City and across the country over the last 14 years; he has appeared in independent films, web series and the New York City institution Law and Order: SVU. He is a member of the Heidi Latsky Dance Company and his one-man show A Little Potato and Hard to Peel was nominated for a 2010 New York Innovative Theatre Award for "Outstanding Solo Performance."

Laurel Holland is a Brooklyn-based writer and former actor. After graduating from Harvard in 2006 with a degree in French Literature and Language, she moved to New York to pursue an acting career. In 2008 she joined the Bat Theater Company at the Tribeca-based Flea Theater and has performed in plays by Itamar Moses, Will Eno, Sheila Callaghan, Jonathan Reynolds, and others. In 2010 Laurel took a hiatus from acting to write and is currently working on Spindrift, a memoir about her alpinist father who was killed in a climbing accident when she was five.  Born in Portland, Maine and raised in Walla Walla, Washington, Laurel now lives in Williamsburg. Maggie Lacey stars in the upcoming Indie feature THE WORD and recently guest starred on both THE GOOD WIFE and THE BIG C.  She has worked extensively in the theatre, making her Broadway debut as Emily in OUR TOWN, with Paul Newman.  She returned to Broadway in INHERIT THE WIND and the Tony–nominated DIVIDING THE ESTATE, by Horton Foote.  Maggie went on to star in Mr. Foote’s acclaimed masterwork, THE ORPHANS’ HOME CYCLE, at the Signature Theatre.

Daniel Lugo is a clown, mask performer, and all around crazy guy.  He has performed on streets, in parks, theatres and sometimes on film across the United States and Canada. As the movement specialist for theatre collective The Honest Liars, he hopes to continue their work here in NYC and abroad. Daniel has a M.F.A in Acting from Florida Atlantic University, has completed the P.T.P. at the Dell Arte' School of Physical Theatrein California, and did post graduate studies in Theatre at the University of Kentucky.

Daniel read Ten Thousand Feet by Michael Spring

When Scott was 18 months old, his dad built a chain link fence to keep him in the back yard.  Scott promptly scaled the fence.  This sense of adventure took Scott many places in the world, like camping and horseback riding the mountains of Yellowstone, skiing in Norway and, ultimately, to New York, where he relentlessly studied acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse.  Since graduating, he’s played a wide range of roles from Rollie Moore in “Criminal Genius” to Claudius in “Elsinore County” to Iago in “Othello”.  Scott wishes to thank The Liar’s LeagueNYC for this opportunity to participate in this exciting new project.

She also had the pleasure of appearing in As The World Turns as a spirited house keeper, Ginny who's so consumed in cleaning, she completely misses the robbers that have entered the house absconding with all of her employers valuables . Naturally, she was fired, but then of course rehired when it's discovered she is having her employer's child who is actually her long lost step brother's evil twin. Most recently, she was in a short film called The Life of Death which will be making its way around the festival circuit. Other than acting she enjoys taking her mini Australian Shepherd to central park where he occasionally chases imaginary mini sheep and other dogs.

Jenny Williamson is a poet, fiction writer, actress, and model living in New York City.
